Pihitia Station

Pihitia station was real fun we got see cows getting milked, a sheep being butchered, a dummy (That looked like a real person) get run over by a quad bike. When we saw the cow getting milked my friend passed me the jar with milk in it. It had been shaken so that the milk would turn into butter.

Aswell a seeing a cow getting milked, and making butter, we also saw a sheep get butchered. the sheep meat was already there ready for us to watch it get cut up into little sheep chops.

One of the most funny things was when the drone was being flown. We saw a dummy under a quad bike, and people actually thought it was real! The drone was pretty cool it flew really straight and we could see a lot of the farm through the screen.

That's it for this blog post, please leave a comment with feedback!

Pollution 2020

Describe different forms of pollution

The three most common types of pollution are air pollutionwater pollution, and land pollution. Sometimes, air pollution is visible to the human eye. A person can see dark smoke pour from the exhaust pipes of large trucks or factories. Pollution makes nothing good happens, so don't pollute.

Why is pollution dangerous?

Pollution may make landscapes muddy, poison soils and waterways, or kill plants and animals. ... Long-term exposure to air pollution, for example, can lead to, lung cancer, shortened lifespan and other diseases. Toxic chemicals that collect in top predators can make some species unsafe to eat.

What can we do to help reduce pollution?

There is many thing we can do to help reduce pollution. some of them are...

  • Reduce the number of trips you take in your car.
  • Reduce or eliminate fireplace and wood stove use.
  • Avoid burning leaves, trash, and other materials.
  • Avoid using gas-powered lawn and garden equipment.
  • Arrange a rubbish clean up.
What might happen if we don't get pollution under control?

If air pollution is not controlled, by 2030 the air will become so poisonous that it will be needed to use an oxygen kit to breathe easily. Rising air pollution will also lead to premature aging. Human exposure to air toxins will increase to a great extent if air pollution is not controlled.

Litter 2020

Why littering is so bad?

Littering is bad because it makes the area you live in look yucky. It also kills marine life, a fish will eat the rubbish then it will choke and die. Then a bigger fish will come and eat that smaller dead fish and will die, because it ate the fish that had eaten plastic. So technically it ate plastic. This cycle will go on and on until  a fisherman will catch a fish with plastic in it. Cook and eat it. Then the fisherman will choke and die since he ate a fish with plastic in it. When we litter, there is a chance we can DIE!

Who do you think is responsible for picking up litter, and why

I think that whoever throws rubbish on the ground, is responsible for picking it up. But if you see rubbish on the ground and noone is going to pick it up. If you care about mother earth you will pick it up anyway. In a way, it is everyone's job to pick up litter.

Where would you like to organise a litter pick up in your local area, and why

If I were to organise a litter pick up, it would be at a beach. The beach has a lot of litter on it, and it is more likely that the rubbish from the beach will blow into the ocean, than anywhere else. I want to make sure that ocean life doesn't die out.

How could people be encouraged to litter less in your local area?

People can be encouraged by telling them to imagine no plastic. Imagine how great that could be. there would be more marine life, cities would look very clean, and just the fact that all people contribute in removing plastic would encourage people to not litter.
